An international degree could provide a great springboard for your career.
Learn Mandarin Chinese
Whether you’re actually enrolling on a Chinese language program or not, you will never get a better chance to learn the Chinese language than in China. This definitely beats learning anywhere else and is the perfect environment to take your Chinese language skills to the next level. And why not? Mandarin Chinese is officially recognized by the United Nations as one of the key six world languages and is growing rapidly in popularity for language learners. It’s touted as the language of the future and with great reason, it will be one of the essential languages for decades to come.

China is one vast unique country with thousands of years of rich culture and history. One of the oldest societies in the world. If you don’t open yourself up and immerse yourself in this fascinatingly unique culture, you’re truly missing out. Living in China will give you incredible insight into the evolution of China from millennia ago to now and witness both traditional and modern China and the people who inhabit the land. Great for you culture or history aficionados.
Travel
One of the best things and a benefit of studying abroad is that it gives you ample opportunity to travel and explore another part of the world. And studying in China, there are literally a lifetime of places to explore all in one country and you get so much time to do this, you get the winter and summer holiday breaks and up to 28 public holidays off depending on how long you’re studying here for, plus weekends too. But you will need to strike the right balance between study and travel, this is essential.
Eat as much Chinese Cuisine as you can
We know, especially if your Chinese language skills are not that good then it’s quite easy to stick to the average canteen food the university provides or if your familiar with food delivery apps such as E Le Me, quite easy to rely on that.
